ZERONESS OF THITHI (THITHI SUNYAM): The word "Thithi" represents the counting of days between Amavasya to Poornima; and Poornima to Amavasya. There are exactly 14 Thithis that lies between Amavasya to Poornima, which are called Sukla Paksha Thithi (Days with Ascending Moon). Then there are 14 Thithis that lies between Poornima to Amavasya, which are called Krishna Paksha Thithis (Days with Descending Moon).  As per the Hindu Vedic Astrology, every 2 Zodiac houses gets "Thithi Sunya" effects on every Thithi except for the Amavasya and Poornima Thithi.
