ZERONESS OF THITHI (THITHI SUNYAM):



The word "Thithi" represents the counting of days between Amavasya to Poornima; and Poornima to Amavasya. There are exactly 14 Thithis that lies between Amavasya to Poornima, which are called Sukla Paksha Thithi (Days with Ascending Moon). Then there are 14 Thithis that lies between Poornima to Amavasya, which are called Krishna Paksha Thithis (Days with Descending Moon). 

As per the Hindu Vedic Astrology, every 2 Zodiac houses gets "Thithi Sunya" effects on every Thithi except for the Amavasya and Poornima Thithi. The Word Sunya or Sunyam means Zeroes or Emptiness.

That is, the planets that owns the Zodiac houses that are likely to get affected by the "Thithi Sunya" effect on the particular day would also be affected by this effect.
That is, every planet loses its power because of Thithi Sunya effects and delivers the results in an erratic manner during its Mahadasa periods. Thus, this simple reason could really upset the functioning of a particular planet and delivers unexpected results during its dasa periods.

 Important: 

 1. The Planets that attain the status of "Thithi Sunya" would become powerful, if the Planet is placed in debilitated position (or) malefic houses (or) unfriendly houses (or) conjunction with malefic planets (or) aspected by malefic Planets. If the afflicted Planet becomes the House Lord of malefics, then it will increase its malefic impacts; and if it becomes the House Lord of benefice, then it will increase the benefice impacts. 
2. The Planets that attain the status of "Thithi Sunya" would become powerless, if the Planet is placed in its own house (or) exalted house (or) benefice houses (or) friendly houses (or) conjunction with benefice planets (or) aspected by benefice Planets. If the afflicted Planet becomes the House Lord of malefics, then it will be unable to deliver its malefic impacts; and if it becomes the House Lord of benefice, then it will be unable to deliver the benefice impacts. 
3. The Planets that are placed in the Thithi Sunya houses would face reduction of their strength.
4. All other astrological factors must be calaculated on the afflicted planets to arrive at the exact functioning of those planets during its dasa periods.
