IMPORTANCE OF 5TH HOUSE

What is Putra Dosha?

In Vedic Astrology, 5th house indicates the child birth and the relationship with the children. In default, the 5th house indicates the quantum of both the Virtues or the Sins that a person carries from his/her previous birth.

It is assumed that if the 5th house is stronger and does not get affected by any dosham, then the particular person would have lived a perfect (which is morally and ethically correct) life during his/her previous birth. The stronger 5th house gurantees perfect children, superb fortunes, extraordinary IQ level and blessings from the ancestors.

If a horoscope contain serious problems with regard to its 5th house or its house lord, then the person would automatically falls into "Pithru Dosha" and "Putra Dosha". We all know that the Pitra Dosha is a curse on the whole family either by the departed souls in their house or by the curse by the known or unknown people who had been affected or suffered at the hands of their living family elders or the departed ancestors.

The "Putra Dosha" can be classified as thus:

1. Inability to conceive.
2. Miscarriages or forced abortions during the time of pregnancy.
3. Giving birth to mentally retarded or physically disabled children.
4. Troublesome or Violent behaviour of the children who brings immense pain and agony to the parents.
5. Parents witnessing the various troubles of their own children during their lifetime.

In this post, let us see the reasons for the miscarriages that happen during the pregnancy. Following planetary positions do indicate the serious nature of "Putra Dosha" which also brings miscarriages at the various levels of pregnancy.

1. The 5th house lord or Guru or both getting combusted by the Sun.

2. The presence of 5th house lord or Guru or both getting placed in the malefic houses or getting placed with the combination of malefic grahas.

3. The 5th house lord or Guru or both getting debilitated or moving in a retrograde manner or both.

4. The 5th house lord or the Guru or both being surrounded by the malefic planets or having any form of association with those malefic grahas.

5.  The 5th house lord or the Guru or both traversing in the Nakshatras that belongs to the malefic grahas.

6. The presence of retrograde or debilitaed planets in the 5th house indicates serious troubles during the pregnancy.

7. If the 5th house lord or the Guru or both is in the debiliated position and/or moving in a retrograde manner and if it is being viewed by any debilitated or retrograde planets, then the troubles increases to a greater extent.

8. If the 5th house lord or the Guru or both is in the debiliated position and/or moving in a retrograde manner and if it is hemmed by 6th & 8th house lords, then the risks increases in a alarming proposition. It must be noted that the risk level remains same, when it is hemmed by any of the combinations of 3rd, 6th, 8th and 12th house lords.

9. If the 5th house lord or the Guru or both is in the debiliated position and/or moving in a retrograde manner and if it is placed in Maraka Sthana (House of Death) or Pathaga Sthana (House of collateral Damages), then the risks level increases to an unimaginable level.

10. If the 5th house lord or Guru or both getting debilitated or remaining weak or getting placed in the malefic house from the respective lagnas in all the Dasamsa charts, then the risk level increases further.

11. If the 5th house lord or Guru or both gets closer to Kethu within + (or) - 03.20.00 degrees, then the trouble increases to an alarming position. If the 5th house lord or Guru or both remain in a retrograde manner or gets debilitated or gets combusted by the Sun, then the trouble reaches the peak. This position would become extremely serious implications for the Meena Lagna natives (Pisces Rising)

12. If the 5th house lord or Guru or both gets closer to Rahu within + (or) - 03.20.00 degrees, then the trouble increases to an alarming position to the Mesha Lagna (Aries sign) natives. If the 5th house lord or Guru or both remain in a retrograde manner or gets debilitated, then the trouble reaches the peak.

13. In general, the presence of Rahu and Kethu in the 5th house indicates certain amount of Putra Dosha. But the problem increases, if the Rahu or Kethu is either weak or gets debiliated in the 5th house.

14. The presence of Kethu in the 5th house for the Makara Lagna and the Rahu in the 5th house for the Kataka Lagna do indicate the Putra Dosha.

15. The debilitated or retrograde or eclipsed Shani, Mars, Guru either with or without the Rahu or Kethu and also with the Descending or debilitated Moon in the 5th house could seriously jeopardize the chances of conceiving.

Let us see the type of children that a person can have according to his/her horoscope in the subsquent posts.

WHAT IS NAKSHATRA SANDHI?

As we know the word Sandhi means the Junction or meeting place. Hence the Nakshatra Sandhi means the meeting point of two Nakshatras. There are 27 Nakshatras that are taken into consideration in the Hindu Vedic Astrology. The Moon travels through each Nakshatras starting from Aswini and ending in Revathi. But the movement is a continious basis. Thus after completing the journey through all the 27 stars, the Moon exits the Revathi Nakshatra and again starts its next round of journey from Aswini, without any break. Thus the Moon goes around the 27 Nakshatras on a continous basis. The entry and exit time of the Moon into the 27 Nakshatras varies around 24 hours. The Last 48 minutes or 2 Naligai (Naligai is a measure of time that equals 24 minutes) during the entry and exit into a Nakshatra by the Moon is called as "Nakshatra Sandhi".
