Among all the creatures in the World, the humans rely more on mental power than any other creatures present in the World. The humans can think on their own and act on their own @ the humans can restrict (or) allow their mind to focus on any particular issues (or) events. The Humans have the capacity to proceed (or) restrict their actions on a particular issue/event, despite possessing the full information with them.

1. The Humans can have multiple thoughts (or) focus on multiple issues at a concurrent time.
2. The Humans can start to think; pause a thought for a temporary period of time (or) exit from those thoughts completely.
3. The Humans can have repetitive thoughts too.
4. The Humans can present themselves differently in an explicit manner; and may possess different mindset implicitly.
5. The Humans could do some physical activities that are not correlated to their inner mind @ they could behave totally different manner from their original mindset. 

Thus, the Humans have the complete control over their explicit personalities, inner mindset and their physical reactions/interactions. Thus, the Humans differ from the rest of the animals/birds/all other creatures @ the animals/birds/other creatures do not have control over their mind; whereas the Humans have their full control over the mind & actions. Let us see this by few examples:

Example 1: The Tiger looks at a prey at a very closer range. The immediate objective of the Tiger is to catch and kill the prey for its food. The Tiger acts instantaneously and try to catch the prey. The Tiger may (or) may not be successful in its act. That is, the Tiger will not take time to act against the prey (or) will not hold back its decisions for any reasons @ the Tiger thoughts and actions are coordinated. 

Example 2: A man develops a sexual desire against a woman @ the man has already made a decision in his mind about his sexual preference with the woman. But he chose his own time to bring out his intention to the woman. That is, the thoughts and actions are disconnected @ the Humans has the capacity to control his thoughts & actions. 

Thus the "Mental strength" is all the more important for the Humans in general. Though the Humans rely both on physical and mental strength, the mental strength has more significance than the physical strength. If there are problems in activating (or) controlling the mind happens; also, if there are any inverse correlation of thoughts and actions happens, then this would create "Depressive tendencies" in the minds of the native. 

 How to read the "Horoscope" to gauge your mind strength? 

1. The Lagna and the Lagna Lord indicates the "Conscious Mind" of the natives.

2. The 2nd and 2nd House Lord indicate the "Communication Links" of the natives.

3. The 3rd and 3rd House Lord indicate the "Sub-conscious Mind" of the natives.

4. The 4th and 4th house Lord indicate the "Physical Activity" of the natives.

5. The 5th and the 5th House Lord indicate the "Intelligence" of the natives.

6. The Planet Moon is an indicator of the overall mental health. 

 Here we are going to analyse both the Lagna, Lagna Lord, 3rd house and 3rd house lord to understand the "Level of Depression" through prism of astrological views. Firstly, we shall analyse the benefits and perils of having strong & weak Lagna, Lagna Lord, 3rd house and 3rd house lord. 

Benefits of Strong Lagna and Lagna Lord:

1. The native would remain alert and remain very conscious.

2. The native would enjoy excellent memory level and takes quicker decisions. 

3. The native would present themselves as a stronger personality. 

 Perils of Strong Lagna and Lagna Lord:

1. The native would remain aggressive, dominant and adamant. 

2. The native would face less sleep (or) remain in a conscious state even while taking rest. 

3. The native would take instantaneous decisions which may be correct (or) incorrect. 

Benefits of weak Lagna and Lagna Lord:

1. The native would remain adjustive and cooperative.

2. The native would take time to react. Hence, they would take decisions slowly, thereby avoid potential troubles.

Perils of weak Lagna and Lagna Lord:

1. The native would remain aloof, isolated and less interactive.

2. The native would face difficulties, when they are supposed to take quick decisions.

3. The native would remain dull, sleepy and less conscious. 

4. The native would remain Pliant and supple minded. 

Benefits of Strong 3rd and 3rd house Lord:

1. The native would enjoy excellent form of dreaming which helps them to perform well in Arts, Literature and Culture related activities.

Perils of Strong 3rd and 3rd house Lord:

1. The native would live in their own world and remain disconnected with the real world. 

2. The native would take high amount of risk in their life, where normal people finding it difficult even to think about it.

3. The native would start to believe real as unreal; and unreal as real.

Benefits of weak 3rd and 3rd house Lord:

1. The native would never take any risk in their life; and try to play safe in every issues. Hence the question of defeat mostly will not arise.
2. The native will not face any strong opponents in their life, since their opponents will consider them as “weak & risk free”

Perils of weak 3rd and 3rd house Lord:

1. The native would fail in their objectives due to less motivation and fear factor.

2. The native would face the critical situation with ease, as the fail to gauge the risks that are involved in it.

Please note that a normal person must have strong Lagna, Lagna Lord, 3rd House and 3rd House Lord @ a person must have strong conscious mind and also a strong sub-conscious mind. If there are any mismatches happens here, then it will produce billions of probabilities on the human behavior.

1. If the Lagna (or) Lagna Lord (or) the 3rd house lord (or) both gets poor strength in the Ashtakavarga, then it creates depressive tendencies.
2. If the Lagna Lord (or) 3rd house lord (or) Moon is placed in the malefic 6th house, it increase the tensions (or) depressive tendencies.
3. If the Lagna (or) the Lagna Lord (or) 3rd house lord (or) Moon (or) any of these combination is combusted by the Sun @ if the Lagna (or) the Lagna Lord 3rd house lord (or) Moon (or) any of these combination is placed within +/- 03.20.00 degrees from the Sun, then the depression will increase heavily.
4. If the Lagna (or) the Lagna Lord (or) 3rd house lord (or) Moon (or) any of these combination is placed within +/- 03.20.00 degrees from the Sun; and both the Lagna Lord/Moon/3rd House Lord (or any one) and the Sun traverses in the same Nakshatra Path, then the depression increases heavily. If the Nakshtra belongs to malefic planets, then the depression level rises abnormally.
5. If the Lagna (or) the Lagna Lord (or) 3rd House Lord (or) Moon (or) any of these combination is combusted by the Sun @ if the Lagna (or) the Lagna Lord 3rd House Lord (or) Moon is placed within +/- 01.00.00 degrees from the Sun, then the depression will increase dramatically.
6. If the Lagna (or) the Lagna Lord (or) 3rd House Lord (or) Moon (or) any of these combination is placed within +/- 01.00.00 degrees from the Sun; and both the Lagna Lord/3rd House Lord/Moon (or any one) and the Sun traverses in the same Nakshatra Path, then the depression increases in a phenomenal manner. If the Nakshtra belongs to malefic planets, then the depression level rises to a dangerous level. 
7. If the Lagna (or) Lagna Lord (or) 3rd House Lord(or) Moon (or) any of these combinations are placed within +/- 03.20.00 degrees from the Rahu (or) Kethu, then there will be dramatic increase in depression levels. If the Moon owns any malefic house then the depression reaches the peak level.
8. If the Lagna (or) Lagna Lord (or) 3rd House Lord (or) Moon (or) any of these combinations are placed within +/- 01.00.00 degrees from the Rahu (or) Kethu, then there will be dramatic increase in depression levels. If the Moon owns any malefic house then the depression reaches the peak level.
9. The association of Planets mentioned under the Points No: 6 & 7 gets combusted by the Sun either in a collective manner (or) in a partial manner, then the depression level would reach to a dangerous level. If the Moon owns any malefic house, then the depression reaches its peak level. If the association of Planets mentioned under the Points No: 6 & 7 is placed in any malefic places (or) associated with any malefic planets, then the situation would worsen further.
10. If the Lagna (or) Lagna Lord (or) 3rd House Lord (or) any of these planets traverses in the 22nd Nakhstra (or) 88th Nakshatra Path from the Jenma Nakshatra, then problems will worsen further.
11. The problems are likely to intensify further, if the Rasi Lord (or) 3rd House Lord both from the Moon Sign and the Sun Sign are weaker in the Ashtakavarga, then the problems are likely to flare up during the transit of the Rasi Lords into unfavorable houses.
12. The problems are likely to produce worse end results, if these planetary position happens in the Trishamsha, Shastiamsha, Akshvedamsha and Khavedamsha Charts.

Conclusions: The below mentioned results are possible but not conditional with the above mentioned planetary position depending upon the micro and macro level analysis of individual horoscopes. 
1. The above-mentioned Planetary position are likely to produce simple level of headache to long hours of sleepiness to serious level of depression.
2. The problems with these particular combinations are likely to produce behavioral disorder.
3. The problems with these particular combinations are likely to produce hyper tensions (or) hysterical behavior (or) aggressive tendencies (or) restlessness.
4. The problems with these particular combinations are likely to produce muted expressions, stunted reactions (or) sloppiness.
5. The problems with these particular combinations are likely to produce autistic problems in the younger age to mental disorder at the later stages.
6. The problems with these particular combinations are likely to produce amnesia to coma in certain cases.

WHAT IS NAKSHATRA SANDHI?

As we know the word Sandhi means the Junction or meeting place. Hence the Nakshatra Sandhi means the meeting point of two Nakshatras. There are 27 Nakshatras that are taken into consideration in the Hindu Vedic Astrology. The Moon travels through each Nakshatras starting from Aswini and ending in Revathi. But the movement is a continious basis. Thus after completing the journey through all the 27 stars, the Moon exits the Revathi Nakshatra and again starts its next round of journey from Aswini, without any break.
