TRANSIT VS MAHADASA

Which is Important Dasa (or) Transit?

Transit Vs Dasa
How to read the Horoscope?

Both. Both the Dashas & Transits are important in Vedic Astrology to predict about the present and the future time of every individual. Let us see, how a prediction should be done in through the Horoscope. As per the Vedic Astrology, the full life longevity is considered as 120 years; and this period is considered as Mahadasa. The Mahadasa period of 120 years are divided into 9 unequal parts, and each part is controlled by nine planets. It comes in the below mentioned order.

  1. Sun - 6 years
  2. Moon - 10 years
  3. Mars - 7 years
  4. Rahu - 18 years
  5. Guru - 16 years
  6. Shani - 19 years
  7. Budhan - 17 years
  8. Ketu - 7 years
  9. Venus - 20 years

The Total = 120 years. Every individual starts their Life Journey on the Mahadasa periods of their respective Jenma Nakshatra.

Example 1: If a native is born on Moola Nakshatra, then he/she would be born in Ketu Mahadasa (Moola Nakshatra belong to Ketu). Depending upon the Star Path of Moola Nakshatra, the Dasa period would last for 1 to 7 years of age from their birth. Then the native will go to next Mahadasa Venus for 20 years; and 6 years of Sun, 10 years of Moon and so on and end up in the unused portion of their Ketu Mahadasa period, if they reach the age of 120.

Example 2: If a native is born on Viska Nakshatra, then he/she would be born in Guru Mahadasa (Visaka Nakshatra belong to Guru). Depending upon the Star Path of Visaka Nakshatra, the Dasa period would last for 1 to 16 years of age from their birth. Then the native will go to next Mahadasa Shani for 19 years; and 17 years of Budhan, 7 years of Ketu and so on and end up in the unused portion of their Guru Mahadasa period, if they reach the age of 120.

Functioning of Mahadasa Periods:

  1. Each Mahadasa period will produce different results (or) performances on Education, Career, Finances, Health and personal Life of every individual, despite the standard parameters available in every individual’s D-1 Chart. Example: A person would be very successful in his career for a particular Dasha period of time. The same person may struggle to become successful in the same profession despite possessing knowledge and expertise in the different dasha period.
  2. No one should expect a particular Mahadasa to be successful in every aspect of life. Example: A native may be successful in his career & finances and may face disastrous situation in his personal life (or) could face setback on his health. Thus, the same Mahadasa would deliver both the successful results on some of the issues in our life & deliver setbacks in some other areas of life.
  3. Mahadasa period is divided into 9 unequal parts (in the same formula that we divide the 120 years by 9 planets) is called as “Antardasa” periods.
  4. Then Antardasa period is divided into 9 unequal parts and considered as “Pratyantardasa Periods”
  5. Then Pratyantardasa period is divided into 9 unequal parts and considered as “Sooksma dasa Periods”
  6. Then Sooksama dasa period is divided into 9 unequal parts and considered as “Prana dasa Periods”
  7. Thus, a day will governed by 5 planets in the order of Mahadasa, Antardasa, Pratyantardasa, Sooksma Dasa and Prana Dasa. Here the Mahadasa will have utmost impacts and followed by the results of Antardasa. The other three dasha periods of Pratyantardasa, Sooksma dasha and Prana Dasha would either accelerate (or) deaccelerate the benefice/malefic results.

Functioning of Transit Periods:

Following are transiting period of every planet around us. That is, the Planets would take certain time to make their journey complete in all 12 zodiac signs (making a complete 360 degree journey).

  1. Sun - 1 month/sign - 1 year/12 signs.
  2. Moon - 27 days/sign - 27 days/12 signs.
  3. Mars - 45 days/sign - 1 1/2 years/12 signs.
  4. Budhan & Venus - 1 month/sign (approx) - 1 year/12 signs.
  5. Guru = 1 year/sign - 12 years/12 signs
  6. Saturn = 2 1/2 years/sign - 30 years/12 signs
  7. Rahu and Ketu - 1 1/2 years - 18 years/12 sign.

Here the Shani and Guru takes more time to transit from one house to another house. Hence, it will create severe impacts (both positively (or) negatively) during its transit periods. The Moon and to certain extent Budhan moves very faster. Hence, their impacts will create chronic impacts in the native’s life.

How we should predict through Horoscope?

  1. Understanding our destiny through D-1 Chart. The Lagna Chart would indicate the strength & weakness of every individual on every matters like Education, Career, Finances, Health and personal Life
  2. Predictions based on Dasa periods; and the possible impacts on Education, Career, Finances, Health and personal Life during the particular periods of Dasha.
  3. Predictions based on Transit periods; and the possible impacts on Education, Career, Finances, Health and personal Life during the particular transit intervals.
  4. Amalgamating all these results would be provide the nature and condition of our life.

WHAT IS NAKSHATRA SANDHI?

As we know the word Sandhi means the Junction or meeting place. Hence the Nakshatra Sandhi means the meeting point of two Nakshatras. There are 27 Nakshatras that are taken into consideration in the Hindu Vedic Astrology. The Moon travels through each Nakshatras starting from Aswini and ending in Revathi. But the movement is a continious basis. Thus after completing the journey through all the 27 stars, the Moon exits the Revathi Nakshatra and again starts its next round of journey from Aswini, without any break. Thus the Moon goes around the 27 Nakshatras on a continous basis. The entry and exit time of the Moon into the 27 Nakshatras varies around 24 hours. The Last 48 minutes or 2 Naligai (Naligai is a measure of time that equals 24 minutes) during the entry and exit into a Nakshatra by the Moon is called as "Nakshatra Sandhi". This Nakshatra Sandhi period is highly inauspicious time. Example: Suppose the Moon is exiting the Hastham Nakshatra at 8.59 am and enters ...

HOW TO USE VIVAGA CHAKRA (MARRIAGE WHEEL)?

We study the method of using the "Vivaga Chakra" by taking a particular date as our example. Let us take the 15.09.2013 as our example date, to find whether the particular date brings auspicious results or not. Through Panchangam, we have found out the following results. 1. The Sun is traversing in the Uthiram (Uttara) Nakshatra on the marriage day (15.09.2013) 2. The Moon is traversing in the Uthiradam (U. Sada) Nakshatra on the marriage day (15.09.2013). 3. Now we take the Star Uthiram (Uttara) on which the Sun's trajectory position lies. Take the preceding star Pooram (Poorva) and the following Star Hastham of the Uthiram (Uttara) Star. 4. You have selected Pooram, Uthiram and Hastham Stars. Place it in the House 1. 5. Now select the next 3 stars Chittirai, Swathi and Visaka. Place it in the House 2. 6.
