Vipreet means “Inverted (or) reverse” Hence, Vipreet Raja Yoga means yogas that comes in an unusual manner. In Vedic Astrology, the “Yog” (or) “Yoga” can be called as “Luck”; it could be both good luck (or) bad luck.
Vipreet Yoga means luck arising out of unusual
methods (or) luck creating unusual situations (or) luck creating unusual
benefits. Thus, the “Vipreet Yoga” would produce gains through damages (or)
damages through gains. Let us see, some of the examples for “Vipreet Raja
Yoga”.
1. Mr. Nelson Mandela was jailed, when he was fighting for the independence of his country South Africa for nearly 27 years. But we were elected to become the first “Black President of South Africa” after ending his jail term. Here the severest form of difficulties has got converted to the greatest success in the career for him.
2. Mrs. Indira Gandhi was the Prime Minister in India. She was assassinated by her own bodyguards, while she was on duty. The assassin had killed her, due to their religious belief that her Policies affected their religious sentiments. Here her shining career brought her the death.
“Vipreet Raj Yoga means “Earn only to lose” (or) “Lose only to earn”. Let us see it with few examples.
1. A native is getting killed in a major accident (or)
terrorist action. The family of the deceased will get monetary compensation
from the Government. Thus, the loss of a family member will bring monetary gain
into their life.
2. Suppose, a Government official earns huge money and
assets through bribes and scams. One day, he was arrested for his wrongdoings;
and all his wealth is being confiscated and he was arrested & placed in
Jail.
3. Suppose, if a person earns fantastic profits out of his profession. He could come under attack (or) he could be robbed (or) there could be a threat to his life, since his adversaries knows about his source of wealth.

What is Vipreet Raj Yoga (astrologically)?
1. If there any conjunctions of 3rd, 6th, 8th and 12th
house lords among themselves; and placed in any houses (to a lesser extent).
2. If there any conjunctions of 3rd, 6th, 8th and 12th
house lords among themselves; and placed in 3rd (or) 6th (or) 8th (or) 12th
house (to a greater extent).
3. If there are any “Parivartana Yoga” (interchange of
houses) of 3rd, 6th, 8th and 12th house lords among themselves.
4. If there are any “aspection” among themselves
between the 3rd, 6th, 8th and 12th house lords (to a significant extent).
Let us see the “Vipreet Raja Yoga” with few examples in the Horoscope:
Example 1: For Dhanur Lagna (Sagittarius Ascendant), the 8th House Lord Moon is
present in the 12th house. The native would remain adamant and unwilling to
compromise & cooperate with others. Here, the native’s mother would overlook
the actions and behaviour of the native. The native’s mother would act as a
spoiler in the native’s life by giving more preferences, love and affection to
the children. Here the mother’s excessive love and affection would be a spoiler
in the native’s life.
Example 2: For Mithuna Lagna (Gemini Ascendant), the 8th & the 9th house lord Shani is placed in the 12th house Rishaba Rasi (Taurus Sign); and the 5th & 12th house lord is placed in the 8th house Makara Rasi (Capricorn Sign). Here the 8th house lord is in the 12th house; and the 12th house lord in the 8th House.
Option 1: Here, the native may be able to go abroad for studies/jobs; but could get
difficult jobs (or) land in difficulties through their professional
responsibilities. Here the gain would be going abroad; and the loss would be
facing difficulties on jobs.
Option 2: Suppose, a native would possess excellent knowledge & toughest skills and are capable of handling very dangerous jobs, then it would help the native to get fantastic job & income. Here, the difficulties encountered by the native in acquiring the specialized skills would help him/her to get wonderful jobs (which is the gain).

Author's Opinion: It is better not to have "Vipreet Raja Yoga" in the Horoscope, as this yoga would bring difficulties (or) the native would achieve the success only through the difficulties. Hence, it would bring unpleasant situation in the life at some point of time.
